FIELD: power engineering; supporting structures for substations, switchgear, and other power installations.
SUBSTANCE: proposed power installation designed for receiving, converting, and distributing three-phase ac power at 50 Hz commercial frequency over 35, 110, 150, 220, 330, 750, and 1150 kV lines has electrical equipment installed on at least one block of supporting structures, each incorporating pair of metal-section girders mounted on at least one T-shaped supporting structure. The latter has tubular vertical member and metal-section horizontal member. Pair of girders can be attached to supporting structure by means of bolted joint. Horizontal member can be made of channel section arranged with its flanges down. Supporting structure is covered with zinc coating. One block of supporting structure is mounted on top of other. Members of proposed supporting structure are characterized in full-strength section.
EFFECT: enhanced operating reliability, reduced metal input, erection and maintenance charges of power-installation supporting structure.
