FIELD: construction, particularly for pile driving in ground near existent buildings and structures.
SUBSTANCE: method involves pre-assembling separate striker bodies with clamps to form single striker body; driving piles by the single striker body along with measuring ground vibration velocity; releasing the clamps if measured ground vibration velocity is close to maximal allowable value to divide the striker into two bodies with mass ratio from 0.5:0.5 to 0.7:0.3 and then into three bodies with mass ratio from 0.33:0.33:0.33 to 0.6:0.2:0.2 or only in two bodies or in three bodies with above mass ratios. Time gaps between hits are regulated by providing vertical spaces between the bodies with the use of pads of different thicknesses. The hit frequency is increased by usage of different number of striker bodies.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and safety of pile driving operation due possibility to control separate striker components, as well as time gaps and frequency of striker hits.
