PONTOON FOR TRANSPORT FACILITY Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC B63B43/12 

FIELD: water transport, mainly war materiel; construction of inflatable pontoons for ferrying operations.

SUBSTANCE: proposed pontoon for transport facility has drive and two drums with flexible members mounted on side of transport facility and buoyancy chamber which is made from gastight elastic material, rubber for example, in form of inflatable envelope placed in protective casing made from kevlar fabric for example; protective casing is embraced by flexible members in form of belts or ropes. Their free ends are secured on side of transport facility. Shaft of drive and two drums are mounted in one axis and are rigidly interconnected by means of additional shaft mounted in bearings for rotation. Buoyancy chamber is communicated with compressed gas source, pneumatic compressor for example by means of elastic hose.

EFFECT: improved service characteristics of ground-effect craft.
