FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to river transport and can be used to carry people and transport facilities from one river bank to another. Ferry comprises two cylindrical spaced apart pontoons, cargo deck secured there between, platform bottom part being immersed in water and having position floatability. Ferry comprises power plant made up of two assemblies, each made up of pipeline, engine with screw propeller arranged inside said pipeline and ferry travel direction variation unit. Ferry incorporates unit to vary amount of positive floatability, if required, that consists of two tight chambers arranged between deck shells along the ferry lengthwise axis and communicated with compressor via compressed air ducts. Each said tight chamber has driven hydraulic valves, valves drive being mounted outside of the chamber and pneumatic cylinder mounted below cargo platform floor. Pneumatic cylinder rod is jointed with hinged-lever mechanism linked with working elements of hydraulic valves. Ferry comprises also rollers mounted on ferry bow and stern to interact with brake shoes.
