FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves studying lachrymal fluid sample placed on degreased object-plate as a drop and then dehydrated. The laboratory test tube containing stimulated lachrymal fluid is preliminarily 10-15 min long hold in thermostat at 35-37°C. Then a lachrymal fluid drop is dehydrated during 45-60 min on degreased object-plate and studied with microscope by transmitted light. Isotropic foreign point inclusions being found in peripheral lachrymal fluid sample zone, senile cataract development is to be diagnosed.
EFFECT: simplified method; easiness of operation; usability in screening studies.
