FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out microscopic examination of lacrimal fluid. The lacrimal fluid is placed on microscopic slide in the amount of 1020 mcl, dried at room temperature during 10-12 h. Microscopic examination is carried out with crossed polarizers. Anisotropic inclusions in the peripheral zones of the sample being observed, early stage cataract is diagnosed. EFFECT: simplified, high speed diagnosis method. 2 dwg
