FIELD: electrical engineering; electric control and automation circuits.
SUBSTANCE: proposed transformer has shell-type magnetic circuit, as well as primary and secondary windings. Central leg of magnetic circuit is provided with cavity and communicates by means of pipeline through hydraulic pump with tank filled with magnetic liquid pumped to or out of cavity. Inner space of magnetic circuit communicates with atmosphere through holes provided in its wall level with upper edge of cavity.
EFFECT: ability of smooth voltage control across secondary winding within wide range at constant voltage across primary winding.
