FIELD: radar engineering; antenna systems for use on board flying vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: proposed two-band antenna system using electronic beam control has phased antenna array of high-frequency band whose linear waveguide radiators form regular periodic structure and phased antenna array of low-frequency band whose linear waveguide radiators form regular periodic structure. Linear waveguide radiators of high-frequency band form single aperture of antenna system. Radiation centers of both phased antenna arrays are aligned. Linear waveguide radiators of low-frequency band are disposed between two linear waveguide radiators of high-frequency-band; they are interconnected through common wade sides of waveguide and form sections interconnected through short-circuited waveguides of depth L2 which is a multiple of odd number of quarter-wavelengths of both high- and low-frequency bands. Linear waveguide radiators of high-frequency-band are spaced apart through length L equal to 09-0.95 wavelength of high-frequency band. Waveguide radiators of low-frequency band are spaced apart through L1 length equal to 1.8-1.9 wavelength of high-frequency band. In addition, frequency ratio of high- and low-frequency bands is 3.6-4.0.
EFFECT: minimized impact of antenna array low-frequency band radiation on radiation characteristics of high-frequency band array at high performance characteristics.
