FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: proposed electroacoustic transducer that can be used in ultrasonic location systems for gas media, level gages, and ultrasonic alarm and control systems has case with acoustic window that accommodates piezoelectric unit in the form of series-connected piezoids disposed between rear strap and one end of fastening plate secured on other end to front strap; piezoelectric unit is placed perpendicular to case axis for radiating through acoustic window. External end of front strap is covered with double-layer membrane whose internal layer tightly abuts against external end of front strap. External layer is chemically inert to surrounding atmosphere.
EFFECT: ability of radiating and receiving ultrasonic oscillations in medium chemically inert to surrounding atmosphere.
