FIELD: transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to folding tricycles designed for riding in reclined position. Folding frame consists of two parts connected by hinge joint 3. One part of frame is telescopic. Cross beam 45 connected with hinged frame by attachment axle through connecting bracket can be turned in horizontal plane relative to attachment axle when folding the velomobile. Rear driving wheel 19 is arranged behind hinge-secured seat backrest resting on two stops fastened in rear part of frame. Two front wheels are turned on cross beam by means of handlebar, steering tie-rods and rocker and they are locked from turning when velomobile is folded. They are installed so that their lower edge is arranged at a smaller distance from horizontal axis of hinged frame than distance from horizontal axis of hinged frame to lower edge of driving wheel installed square to wheels on cross beam. Length of folded telescopic frame is 1.2 of diameter of driving wheel, that of rear part 4 of frame, is equal to (0.5+2a) of diameter of driving wheel, length of cross beam 45 with wheels 31 is equal to 1.44 of diameter of driving wheel, distance from hinge joint 3 to vertical axis of driving wheel 19 and from hinge joint 3 to vertical axis of attachment axle is (0.5+a) of diameter of driving wheel where a is width of driving wheel.
EFFECT: provision of stability of velomobile in folded state and possibility of movement of folded velomobile on its wheels as hand cart.
