FIELD: mining industry, applicable, for example, at opencast mining of iron quartz rocks.
SUBSTANCE: the method consists in drilling of a borehole on a bench, formation of two kettle-shaped cavities in it in height and charging of them with explosive, the kettle-shaped cavities are formed asymmetrically relative to the borehole axis with a shift of the center of gravity of the lower cavity towards the bench by a value equal to  1=(0,5-2)R, and a shift of the upper cavity to the opposite direction by a value equal to
1=(0,5-2)R, and a shift of the upper cavity to the opposite direction by a value equal to  2=(0,2-2,5)R, where R- the borehole radius, m.  The distance from the upper cavity is preset to be equal to
2=(0,2-2,5)R, where R- the borehole radius, m.  The distance from the upper cavity is preset to be equal to  3=(0,4-0,5)H, and that to the center of the lower cavity -
3=(0,4-0,5)H, and that to the center of the lower cavity -  4=(0,7-0,95)H, where H - the bench height.

EFFECT: enhanced degree of rock crushing by 7 to 10%, improved processing of the bench, and reduced consumption of explosive.
