FIELD: mining industry at blasting operations in flooded rocks. SUBSTANCE: holes of the first phase for two benches are drilled in the rock block, then each of them is expanded with formation of a cavity in the form of a truncated cone in the upper part of the lower bench turning into a hollow cavity. The lesser base of the truncated cone is directed to the face, and the height of the expanded part of the hole in the lower bench does not exceed its three maximum diameters. After removal of mud from the expanded cavities of holes breaking holes are drilled. Then all the expanded cavities of the holes of the first phase and the breaking holes are charged with explosive, and the rocks are broken. EFFECT: reduced expenditures connected with drilling and blasting operations in flooded rock masses, cheaper types of explosives are used at charging. 1 dwg
