FIELD: chemistry of alkylaromatic compounds.
SUBSTANCE: alkylation is carried out at 140-250°C under pressure of 1-30 atm on modified zeolite-containing catalyst for petroleum fraction cracking. Catalyst is modified by heating in air flow at 500-550°C for 6-12 h, treatment with (0.05-0.15)N hydrochloric acid solution for 4-6 h, washing with water, second heating in air flow under the same conditions, treatment with (0.05-0.15)N magnesium acetate aqueous solution for 4-6 h, washing with water, and finished heating in air flow under the same conditions.
EFFECT: simplified and economy method of increased yield.
