FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engines, pumps, compressors and other devices. Proposed mechanism provides relative conversion of reciprocating motion and rotary motion with possibility of setting parameters characterizing reciprocating motion. According to invention mechanism converting reciprocating motion into rotary motion consists of two synchronously rotating crankshafts arranged parallel to each other and coupled by gears with ratio equal to 1, rocker whose ends are hinge-connected with like crankpins of two said crankshafts, and link secured for displacement in guide. One end of link is connected with middle joint of rocker, and other end is connected with piston or other part. Each end of rocker is hinge-coupled with crankpin of one of crankshafts by means of pair of connecting rods so that pair of connecting rods coupled with one of crankshafts is located crosswise relative to pair of connecting rods coupled with other crankshaft.
EFFECT: increased torque on engine shaft.
