CONNECTING ROD-PISTON GROUP OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC F01M1/06 F01M1/16 F01P3/06 F16C7/02

Abstract RU 2754573 C1

FIELD: internal combustion engines.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engines. The connecting rod-piston group of an internal combustion engine includes a connecting rod (2), a crank and piston rod heads, a piston (1) with a bottom and a piston skirt, the length of which along the central axis of the piston is limited in the direction of the connecting rod crank head (8) by an edge. The oil supply hole (7) in the swinging plane of the connecting rod provides oil inlet from the inner surface of the connecting rod crank head (8) and oil out of the side surface of the connecting rod (2). The shutter (3) valve changes the position of the shutter (3) relative to the oil supply hole (7) at the outlet of the oil jet from the connecting rod (2). The shutter (3) of the valve is made in the form of a thin-walled rectangular plate made of massive material. The shutter (3) of the valve under the action of the forces of inertia and gravity applied to it, reciprocates relative to the lateral surface of the connecting rod (2) along and within, respectively, two guides (4) and two stops (5) and (6), located along the edges of the guides at a certain distance from each other. The angular and linear coordinates of the location of the oil supply hole (7) at the outlet of the connecting rod (2) relative to the central axis of the connecting rod (2) and the axis of any of its heads are respectively selected so that the linear component of the trajectory of the oil jet outflowing from the oil supply hole (7) , considered as a continuation of the axis of the oil supply hole (7) at the exit from the side surface of the connecting rod (2) in a situation where the central axes of the connecting rod (2) and the piston (1) coincide, passes under the edge of the piston (1) skirt and is directed towards it loaded side. The ratios between the mass, length and width of the shutter (3), the diameter of the oil supply hole (7) at the outlet of the connecting rod (20) and the distance between the stops (5) and (6) are coordinated with each other in such a way that at all possible positions of the shutter ( 3) relative to the guides (4), except for the position of the shutter (3) with an emphasis on the stop (5) located closer to the axis of the connecting rod piston head, the shutter (3) closes the oil supply hole (7) at the outlet of the connecting rod (2).

EFFECT: invention increases reliability of the engine by improving the conditions for lubricating and cooling the piston.
