FIELD: electrical engineering, namely power sources used mainly in single-phase and three-phase welding semiautomatic systems and in apparatuses for welding by means of consumable electrode, in electroplating, for charging storage cells and in other cases when high-power stabilized current or voltage source is to be used.
SUBSTANCE: power source includes matching transformer having primary winding connected to power supply circuit and secondary power winding, rectifier, smoothing choke whose one terminal is connected with positive terminal of rectifier and whose other terminal is connected to outlet of apparatus; electric current pickup forming signal proportional to outlet current and having one terminal connected with outlet of apparatus and other terminal connected with negative terminal of rectifier; voltage pickup forming signal proportional to outlet voltage of apparatus; electric current and voltage setter; current error and voltage error amplifier whose non-inverting inlet is connected to electric current and voltage pickups and whose inverting inlet is connected to electric current and voltage setter. Primary winding of matching transformer is connected to power supply circuit through symistor. Terminals of secondary winding are connected to inlet of non-controlled rectifier. Clock pulse generator includes "Exclusive OR" gate whose first inlet is connected to voltage divider of power supply circuit and whose second inlet is connected to divider of summed voltages of power supply circuit and power source of "Exclusive OR" gate. Outlet of clock pulse generator is connected to timing inlet of pulse-phase control circuit. Control inlet of said circuit through optron isolator is connected to outlet of current and voltage error amplifier. The last is connected through switch to current or voltage pickup.
EFFECT: lowered cost of power source for electric arc welding, simplified electronic circuit, less loss of power.
