FIELD: rocketry; rocket engines.

SUBSTANCE: radiator of electrons and gamma quanta of beamed high energies is made parabolic, and neutron generator is made of combination type, consisting of proton acceleration, proton-to-neutron conversion, proton separation, alpha particles separation, alpha particles acceleration, alpha particle-to-neutron conversion, feedback coupling and stating unit. Quantum engine is made for generating nuclear energy by radioactive capture of slow neutrons generated by said neutron generator by reagent and conversion of part of excess neutrons into protons, with subsequent connection of captured neutrons with formed protons into compound nuclei and fusion of nuclei with nucleus of reagent to provide thrust by radiation of quanta of gamma and negative beta particles (β-) of beam high energies. Nuclei of lithium 7, boron-11, sodium-23 and lead 206 are used as reagent.

EFFECT: improved efficiency of rocket engine, reliability and safety of launching of rockets.
