SUBSTANCE: process includes charging source material containing heavy atomic nuclei into nuclear reactor and irradiating material with neutron flux. Nucleus entrapping three neutrons is transformed as result of beta decay into stable nucleus of one step higher atomic number. Upon entrapping fourth neutron, source nucleus is transformed into nucleus having in its composition alpha- particles greater by one than source nucleus.
