FIELD: mechanical treatment of metals, including spent non-reusable long-measuring radioactive parts at nuclear power stations.
SUBSTANCE: proposed chamber has unit for crushing long-measuring radioactive parts into sections convenient for mechanical treatment which communicates through guide tube with long-measuring radioactive part charging chamber and through discharging channel, with intake chamber for crushed radioactive parts. Crushing chamber has means for closing it from charging chamber in the form of ball valve whose shutter is provided with pin disposed in slot of double-arm lever hinged to ball valve body. Crushing chamber also has means for closing it from intake chamber made in the form of ball valve whose shutter is provided with slot to receive projection of nut in shutter turn gear of screw-nut type. Crushing unit has power cylinder and knife block assembled of fixed cutting bush installed in power cylinder and movable cutting bush disposed in power cylinder piston. Crushing chamber is provided with removable means for removing (mounting) bush knives disposed on base surface of power cylinder whose working components are mounted for engaging drillings of bush knives. Guide tube is mounted for displacement in horizontal plane.
EFFECT: reduced degree of personnel irradiation in replacing knife block of long-measuring radioactive part crushing unit.
