AXLE-BOX COVER PLATE REMOVER Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC B60S5/00 B61F5/26 

FIELD: railway transport; rail vehicle repair equipment; axle-box cover plate remover.

SUBSTANCE: proposed remover has through-like base with tilted bottom and inner surfaces of walls. Tilting of bottom and inner surface of walls is equal to tilting of outer surfaces of upper belt of side frame over axle-box aperture. Two pairs of bellcranks are hinge-mounted on vertical side of base from outside. Four levers are hinge-connected to upper arms of bellcranks by means of two forks. Said four levers are hinge-connected to form rhombus arranged in horizontal plane, with hydraulic cylinder hinge-secured in corners of rhombus along diagonal. Two pairs of rocking claw-shaped grips are hinge-connected to lower arms for symmetrically getting-into spaces of upper belt of side frame behind edges of bent lugs of axle-box cover plate for engaging them and unbending at reverse stroke.

EFFECT: mechanization of demounting of axle-box cover plates.
