FIELD: road-building machines and methods for winter snow road construction, particularly trailing car for snow blanket compaction.
SUBSTANCE: device comprises cylindrical shell made as grid of vertical and horizontal pipes and connected to hub. Horizontal pipes are provided with orifices adapted to carry steam nozzles built in the orifices. Method involves compacting snow blanket in winter period for predetermined thickness under the steam action. Steam creates vertical orifices in snow, which are filled with water after orifice freezing.
EFFECT: increased quality of winter snow road due to road reinforcement.
