FIELD: continuous combustion chambers.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises generating strongly swirled air flow and injecting fuel at the initial section of the flow to generate fuel-air mixture. The flow of the mixture is generated so that to provide outer peripheral vortex that flows counter to the flow of the combustion products that are generated as the inner near-axis vortex. The initial section for generating fuel-air mixture and the exit section of the combustion products is the same section that is perpendicular to the axis of the peripheral and near-axis vortices. The fuel-air mixture is generated, ignited, and burnt out in the peripheral vortex and then in the near-axis vortex by afterburning and dilution. The additional circulation flow that generates the toroidal vortex of fuel-air mixture and combustion products is generated in the zone of the peripheral vortex. The fuel-air mixture is ignited in the zone of the circulation flow that is generated in the initial zone of generation of the fuel-air mixture.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability and expanded functional capabilities.
