FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed modular extension piece shroud has elongated box of rectangular shape, as viewed from top, with rounded-corner or arc-shaped end walls and bottom, as well as cover with walls. Box and cover are made of modules abutting against one another through butt-ends; each module has base with two large walls. Some modules of cover have two jacks with holes to receive power consumer plug; each module of box has at least two projections disposed between walls which are built integral with module base and provided with stepped through central holes to receive mating pin member of cover main module on one end and screw or bolt on its other end to be driven into mentioned pin member. Cover and box modules abut against each other by end surfaces and are secured in position by means of lock made in the form of first thin-walled projection radially disposed on one module and placed in parallel with its end surface, second thin-walled projection disposed perpendicular to module end surface and passed from one wall of module through base to other wall of this module, slot meant to receive first thin-walled projection of first module, and supporting surface on external surface of this adjacent module passed from one wall of module through base to other wall of this module to mount second thin-walled projection of first module.

EFFECT: facilitated manufacture, reduced cost, improved quality of extension piece.
