FIELD: electrical engineering; submersible motors for driving oil-extracting centrifugal or screw pumps.

SUBSTANCE: proposed motor section has case accommodating stator and shaft-mounted rotor. The latter is double-stack structure incorporating two annular permanent magnets radially magnetized in different directions and disposed under rotor stacks. Nonmagnetic bushing is disposed between rotor stacks; shaft is made of magnetic material. Magnets of one section of sectionalized valve-type motor are magnetized in different directions and magnets of adjacent sections abutting against one another are magnetized unidirectionally.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, reduced mass and size.
