FIELD: engineering of echo suppressors.
SUBSTANCE: input signal is sent to acoustic processor, and it is determined, whether current input signal contains information, representing an echo signal. If input signal contains echo signal, then output signal is formed by weakening remainder echo signal by acoustic processor. Remainder echo signal is weakened by weakening coefficient, which gradually shifts from starting weakening value to threshold weakening value. System and method are proposed for adjusting state of acoustic signal from subdued to non-subdued by altering weakening coefficient, applied by acoustic processor to acoustic signal.
EFFECT: smoothed out periodical speech interruptions, unwelcome and irritating for user.
