FIELD: mechanical engineering; welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in manufacture and repair of road wheels, crawler vehicle wheels, wheels of craned and other machines. According to invention, articles to be surfaced are secured in supports with rotation drive 1. Welding head 3 includes welding wire feed mechanism 4, flux hopper 5, unit 6 providing longitudinal, horizontal and vertical displacement of welding head 3. Detachable carousel 10 is made in form of two vertical parallel chuck plates 11 installed in supports 8 arranged lower than rotation drive 1. Chuck plates 11 of carousel 10 are provided with "n" coaxial holes equally spaced from axis of horizontal shaft and uniformly arranged over circumference to secure "n" articles to be surface in turn. Chuck plates 11 are secured on horizontal shaft 9 for rotation and arrangement of article to be surfaced in turn in extreme upper position of rotation drive shaft. Device is furnished with horizontal mounting platform of variable height which is installed for movement under additional supports.
EFFECT: provision of 1.5 - 2 time increase in capacity at surfacing of articles, improved quality of surfacing, facilitated mounting of heavy weight articles at improved convenience in service.
