FIELD: restoration of damaged metallic surfaces, possibly in cylindrical openings of non-rotary units of stationary equipment.
SUBSTANCE: at first guiding support 1 with body 5 in it is placed over restored surface concentrically relative to its axis. Tail spindle 2 is mounted in body 5 with use of bearing assembles 9, 10. Cutting head is mounted on end of tail spindle 2 for preliminarily working and it is driven by means of mechanisms 8, 12 for motion and rotation respectively. After preliminarily working instead of cutting head welding head is mounted for multi-layer automatic surfacing by means of continuous electric arc along helical line. Surfacing is realized with use of electrode wire 20 fed by means of mechanism 21 and roller system 22 through duct 18 while shifting beginning of each successive layer by 120 -180° relative to beginning of previous layer. After surfacing finish working is realized with use of cutting head mounted instead of welding one.
EFFECT: enhanced quality of restoring surfaces without dismounting stationary equipment due to providing accurate coincidence of geometry size of openings to predetermined values, enhanced quality of surfaced metal.
