FIELD: cooling of materials down.
SUBSTANCE: according to the method, material is shifted along cooling part. Heat released by material is partially absorbed and/or reflected by cover elements mounted higher and/or lower of location of material. Ares of absorption and/or reflection are adjusted by different placement and/or change in number of cover elements. Device for cooling material down is also described, which material can be in form of extruded straps or cloths. Device is provided with transporter for cooling material during motion. Extrudates can be produced which do not have non-uniformities of material and internal stresses.
EFFECT: reduced technological cost.
