SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wall and facing ceramics. Method for making wall ceramic articles involves mixing ground clay with leaning and swelling additives, wetting, molding of crude articles by plastic method, drying and roasting. As a leaning and swelling additives method involves using broken glass ground in common with a granulated and hydrophobizated pore-forming agent with granules size 0.1-2.0 mm taken in the following ratio of components, wt.-%: indicated broken glass, 3-30, and clay, the balance. As a pore-forming agent method involves using calcium or magnesium carbonates or their mixture and its amount in granules is 1-6% of the broken glass mass, and amount of a hydrophobizing agent is 1-10% of the broken glass mass. The surface of granulated broken glass smoothed by a hydrophobizing agent with a pore-forming agent can be represented as spherical or egg-shaped forms. By the second variant of a method the molding of crude articles is carried out by a method of semidry pressing. Invention provides expanding assortment of technical agents used in manufacturing low-shrinkage wall ceramic articles possessing the reduced heat conductivity coefficient with retention or improvement of physical-mechanical indices. Invention can be used in manufacturing heat-insulating articles - tiles, brick, blocks, wall panels and others.
