FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: keyed joint comprises male and female members that are interconnected by means of draw key fitted in their coincident grooves and transmit the peripheral and axial load through the groove made in the face surface of the male member. The profiles of the key grooves in the face surfaces of the male and female members are trapezoidal. The trapezoidal key is fitted with interference from the side of the female member. The smaller base of the key is set in the trapezoidal grooves at the level of the face surfaces of the members over the length at least equal to the outer diameter of the female member.
