SUBSTANCE: gym apparatus relates to sports inventory and may be used for training of sportsmen going in for arm wrestling and other endurance sports, and also by cosmonauts under zero gravity conditions to maintain physical force of arms. The gym apparatus comprises several discs, besides, on the shaft there is a slot with straight sides, on the disc rim the slots have inclined sides, elements of engagement to a fixed unit, such as keys with holes with a ledge, where cylindrical compression springs are installed, and these keys are also installed in slots with straight sides of the fixed unit. Discs differ from each other only by arrangement of key slots for putting on the shaft at the angle α° with an augment by Δα° accordingly relative to one of slots with inclined sides. Noise is reduced by application of a single spring in holes of keys, having small dimensions compared to multiseat keys of the prototype. The novelty of the gym apparatus consists in the fact that applying discs with inclined sides on the rim in the movable system ensures even torque application at the shaft. Value of the force applied to the shaft is controlled by movement of a handle in the lever slot. The torque is applied to the movable system by means of an arm with the help of a handle put onto a lever, which is fixed to the shaft end. The lever with the handle may rotate by 360° and with any speed.

EFFECT: invention provides for even application of torque at shaft at any phase of its rotation and any speed.
