FIELD: radio-transparent shields of flying-vehicle direction-finding antennas; development of modern supersonic rockets.
SUBSTANCE: proposed shield made in the form of radio-transparent dome of light-mass heat-shielding ceramic material and installed under fairing in front of antenna radiating aperture is made in the form of hollow truncated hemisphere whose flat wall is positioned in parallel with antenna radiating aperture and spaced from the latter through distance which is a multiple of half the radio-beam wavelength; shield is secured to side surface of antenna by means of sealing compound, such as vikcint Y-2-28. Shield can be made in the form of composite structure with side hemisphere produced from quartz crystal ceramics and flat radio-transparent wall, from crystal fiberglass based porous fibrous material of 1.1 - 1.3 dielectric constant which is attached to side surface upon radio finishing of entire antenna-auxiliary heat shield-fairing system by means of adhesive. Flat wall of shield on antenna side can be impregnated through depth of 0.5-10 mm with organic polymer, such as oligomer TMFT.
EFFECT: improved radio characteristics of system, enhanced efficiency of antenna-unit heat shield, facilitated manufacture and fixation of auxiliary heat shield in fairing.
