FIELD: metallurgical production, namely subsidiary apparatuses used for removing fins after dividing cast ingot by measured lengths by gas cutting.
SUBSTANCE: fins removing apparatus includes driven cutting shaft 8 mounted with possibility of motion from driving lifting apparatus 2. The last includes at least two supporting rollers 9, 10, lever 6 and frame 3 with journals 4 mounted in bearing assemblies with possibility of rotation. One journal 4 is rigidly coupled with lever 6 whose free end is jointly connected with drive unit of lifting apparatus 2. Cutting shaft 8 and supporting rollers 9, 10 are mounted in frame 3 in such a way that their outer surfaces have common tangent plane. Supporting rollers are mounted at both sides of cutting shaft. Axes of frame journals, cutting shaft and supporting rollers are parallel one to others.
EFFECT: simplified design, enhanced operational reliability of fins removing device.
