FIELD: refractory industry, in particular production of thermal shields based on refractory oxides and silicate-forming additives.
SUBSTANCE: claimed method includes preparation of powdered, multifractional ceramic mixtures, including fused corundum and thermoplastic binder additive; preparation of thermoplastic slurry; injection molding into metal mould; binder removing; and finished burning at 1650°C for 4-5 hours. Fine mixture of kaolin and clay in ratio of 1:1 and in amount of 15-20 % is introduced into sphere-like fused corundum powders, wherein ratio of specific surfaces of fused corundum powder and fine mixture is from 0.05 to 0.07. Thermoplastic binder contains (mass %): paraffin 75-82; wax 3-5 and fine-crystalline paraffin 15-20. Thermoplastic binder is removed on substrate from capillary porous permeable material, in three step, by holding for 1-2 h at wax, paraffin and fine-crystalline paraffin liquidus temperatures.
EFFECT: refractory articles of improved quality.
