FIELD: ceramics. SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing fine talk-alumina mixture, adding electrocorundum fraction 3.0-0.5 mm at weight ratio of this fraction to talkalumina mixture (50-60):(40-50), drying resulting mixture, baking products at 1600 +/- 50 C with isothermal heating time long enough to form equilibrium amount of alumino-magnesia spinel, and cooling products. Method can be used for manufacturing ceramic assembly units of heat plants operated under high statistic loadings. EFFECT: reduced open porosity and increased strength of products preserving their temperature resistance. 1 tbl
