FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed magnetic-circuit gate that can be used as built-in facility for fast non-mechanical interruption of magnetic fluxes in magnetic circuits of transformers, electric motors, electric generators, and the like has coil with closed ferromagnetic core. Certain section of magnetic circuit is made in the form of longitudinal members separated by gaps which are transversally piercing mentioned coil so that they are crossing mentioned core within this coil. Proposed gate depends for its operation on effect of blocking magnetic-circuit flux by saturated magnetic field perpendicular to the latter. Fractional joint between saturating coil and magnetic circuit makes it possible to essentially reduce power requirement for and speed of switch-over operations.
EFFECT: enhanced switch-over speed, reduced power requirement.
