FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: control method of external field of constant magnet consists in time change of magnetic permeability of the gap between poles of constant magnet to the poles of which there put are pilot coils with closed ferromagnetic cores. When current pulses are passed through pilot coils, magnetisation of ferromagnetic cores varying resistance in magnetic circuit of constant magnet takes place. Ratio of electromotive force applied to coil to magnetic permeability of high-quality ferromagnetic cores is tens of thousand times, which makes such control method of external field of constant magnet effective. In the proposed method the applied energy is consumed only for saturation of ferromagnetic cores and in no way is related to force impact on the magnet field or force interaction with it and so the effectiveness of control of constant magnet external field depends only on material, structural and process design of ferromagnetic cores.

EFFECT: simplifying the control without pole shunting.
