FIELD: radio engineering; tuning coaxial feeder of low-power ultrahigh-wave television transmitter.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device for tuning feeder to traveling wave at several fixed waves has feeder section with several parallel-connected capacitive components spaced half-wavelength apart along feeder and mounted for moving over feeder in the course of tuning. Feeder section is made in the form of shielded coaxial line with longitudinal slit whose width equals 1.2 - 1.5 of internal conductor diameter; capacitive components are made in the form of spring-loaded clamps provided with locking screws; inner surfaces of clamp jaws are made in the form of circle arcs whose radius equals that of coaxial-line internal-conductor outer surface and their total length l3 is a fraction of circle length of coaxial-line internal conductor found from formula l3 = l - l1 - l2, where l1 is circle length fraction corresponding to distance between outer edges of jaws equal to 0.333 - 0.25; l2 is circle length fraction corresponding to distance between inner edges of jaws.
EFFECT: enhanced speed of tuning coaxial feeder to traveling wave at several frequencies.
