FIELD: physics; measurements.

SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to radar devices for measuring the filling level, providing for generation and receiving of elliptically polarised waves and, particularly, circular polarised waves with use of a directional coupler, which, in accordance with one of the implementation alternatives, can be configured as a 3 dB coupler. Use of a 3 dB coupler provides for mandatory division of the transfer and receiving functions. The invention also relates to the use of a directional coupler for generation of elliptically polarised waves and, in particular, to circular polarised waves, as well as to methods for generation and receiving elliptically polarised waves.

EFFECT: making of a radar device for measuring the filling level with use of circular polarised waves and division of transfer and receiving functions.
