FIELD: agriculture, in particular, plant protection, may be used in food-processing and baking industry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves providing grain sampling; examining grains and performing analysis including visual evaluation of qualitative and quantitative parameters of grain injury; reading out by means of scanning device volumetric images of corn seeds in selected samples; converting said images into digital format in the form of file in computer version. Scanning effect and color transformation, depending on density of endosperm structure at sites of feeding of pests, provide for distinct vision of localization and depth of corn seed portions injured by pests.
EFFECT: reduced labor intensity and provision for obtaining of reliable data for performing diagnostics of grain injury extent.
