FIELD: medicine, traumatology, orthopedics.

SUBSTANCE: one should cut out a fragment out of internal department in the capsule of metatarso-phalangeal joint, remove osseous-cartilaginous exostosis, carry out osteotomy in distal department of the 1^st metatarsal bone in cross-sectional direction, being about 3-5 mm against the upper edge of articular surface of metatarsal caput, cut out an osseous fragment as a wedge its bottom being inwards at thickness of 2/3 of bone diameter. Then due to one movement it is necessary to make a kerf longitudinally against osseous axis in frontal plane at length being about 10-15 mm. Then, from plantar surface one should cut out a wedge at the angle of 50-55° against longitudinal axis and being open to cross-sectional kerf, by stepping proximally against articular capsule and nourishing artery incoming into bone' caput from the bottom. Then it is necessary to carry out osteosynthesis of both areas of osteotomy with shape-memory fixing units.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy.
