FIELD: gas, fuel oil, chemical, power engineering, coal, petrochemical, oil processing and metallurgical industries.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pipe fittings and valves designed for closing and regulating flows of liquid and gaseous media, including abrasive, aggressive and explosion hazard ones. Proposed rotary gate valve has split housing and shutoff member in form of three coaxial metal disks. Said disks are in contact through precision end face surfaces, being provided with through holes and protective ceramic end face rings. Extreme disks are motionless. Central disk is tangentially movable under action of drive. Through holes form through passage channels with uniform angular displacement relative to each other in cross section of gate valve when gate valve is open. Inner surface of through holes in disks is protected by ceramic bushings. Protective end face ceramic rings are displaced relative to through holes by central angle equal to movable disk turning working angle.
EFFECT: improved operation stability of rotary gate valve at moderate labor input in manufacture and low cost of gate valve.
