FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed multicontact woven connector has woven structure constituting plurality of stretched fibers and conductor interwoven with plurality of stretched fibers to form plurality of crests and valleys lengthwise of conductor. Conductor has plurality of contact points disposed throughout its length so that when conductor engages that of member being connected, at least part of plurality of its contact points ensure electrical connection between both conductors. Stretched fibers of woven structure provide for desired contact pressure between at least part of plurality of contact points on woven multicontact connector and conductor of member being connected.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of electric contact due to reduced number of in-service friction component.
