FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of cable equipment and can be used to transmit data by a sonar cable of an upper line to a towing vessel. Method of producing cable includes steps of: a) providing first strength element (14); b) providing conductor (122) which is formed so that it is capable of being permanently elongated, and which is also adapted to at least transmit electrical energy and/or data signal, and interface of conductor (122) with first strength element (14); c) forming at least a second strength element, which is layer (52) of a shell of polymer material around at least part of conductor (122), while simultaneously ensuring that at least a portion of conductor (122) remains elongated when surrounded by sheath layer (52); and d) stretching shell layer (52) so as to permanently elongate both shell layer (52) and said at least part of conductor (122), while simultaneously not breaking said at least part of conductor (122). Thus, a top-line sonar cable (20, 120) is obtained, which is configured to transmit at least electrical energy and/or data signals.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides a cable resistant to destructive forces, which exhibits high rigidity and tensile strength.
