FIELD: mechanical engineering; crawler vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: according to invention, electronic system is built-in parallel to mechanical steering system with steering clutches. Said electronic system consists of steering shaft angle pickup, digital speedometer reading vehicle linear speed, and control unit. Control unit determines radius of vehicle turning in motion basing on angle of turning of steering wheels and vehicle speed, and finds, by preset algorithm, required speed of rotation of each track rollers. Control unit puts out different polarity current of equal value from storage battery and charging generator to actuating mechanisms in form of high-torque dc motors, either decelerating or accelerating traction torque from engine distributed by axle differential. Electrical motors are installed on each axle-shaft of vehicle axles. Armature is built into axle shaft, and stator, in axle-shaft sleeve of axle. Normally closed electromagnetic clutches are connected in series with electric motors.
EFFECT: improved accuracy, ease of control, reduced labor input at maneuvering.
