FIELD: packing equipment, particularly container sealing means.
SUBSTANCE: container closing device includes container neck having side walls defining orifice in one neck end and rim located around the orifice. Inner surfaces of side walls near edge converge inwards. The neck is covered with closure having top and skirt. The neck and inner closure skirt surface are provided with thread. Container also has sealing plug, flexible sealing rib located between sealing plug and closure skirt to cooperate with container edge, annular sealing rib on inner closure surface to cooperate with outer neck surface near edge thereof during closure connection to container neck. Sealing plug comprises a number of annular sealing ribs formed on outer surface of sealing plug and adapted to cooperate with inner surface of container neck during closure connection to container neck. Container having closing means is also disclosed.
EFFECT: possibility to apply accumulated sealing force from container top and bottom.
