FIELD: mechanical engineering; bridge cranes.
SUBSTANCE: proposed bridge crane contains span beams, end beams, load trolley, drive running wheels, driven running wheels, crane travel-motion mechanisms including reduction gears and electric motors and safety device in from of limit switches. Each travel-motion mechanism of crane is furnished with flywheel and electromagnetic clutch mechanically coupled with free end of electric motor shaft and flywheel. Limit switches are mounted on span beam for engagement with load trolley and are electrically coupled with electromagnetic clutches.
EFFECT: increased capacity of crane and service life of electric motors of travel-motion mechanism at simultaneous limiting of dynamic horizontal loads.
