FIELD: rock cutting tools, particularly water-jet ones, namely flushing units thereof.

SUBSTANCE: flushing unit comprises body with channel and socket provided with annular bore, nozzle with sealing member installed in the socket and retaining ring arranged in the annular bore and having fixer. The nozzle is of stepped shape. Fixer is made as a disc with extensions on outer surface. Retaining ring has L-shaped cross-section having horizontal shoulder located on inner ring surface and is provided with through slots for fixer extensions installation. Retaining ring and fixer are made of magnetoactive material. Fixer length defined by disc extensions exceeds inner diameter of retaining ring in closed state. Fixer extensions may be created on lower end and have longitudinal ribs. In this case retaining ring is provided with corresponding additional grooves located between main slots of horizontal shoulder thereof. Main slot width B exceeds additional groove width b.

EFFECT: simplified mounting and demounting of the unit, improved hydrodynamics and operational reliability of the flushing unit and drilling bit as a whole.
