FIELD: rock-cutting tools, especially water-jet rock cutting tools, namely flushing units thereof.

SUBSTANCE: flushing unit comprises body with channel and socket provided with annular bore, nozzle with sealing member installed in the socket and retaining ring arranged in the annular bore and having fixer. Retaining ring has annular bore formed on upper ring end and through slots made in inner surface thereof. The retaining ring is provided with disc made of flexible material and having through slots aligned with retaining ring slots. Fixer is made as ring with extensions formed on side outer surface thereof and mating slots of disc made of flexible material. Width of fixer extension brought into free state exceeds that of through slots of disc made of flexible material and is less than that of retaining ring slots. Fixer diameter defined by extensions is greater than inner diameter of retaining ring in closed state. Disc is rigidly connected with retaining ring and has thickness less than depth of annular bore made in retaining ring. Lower nozzle end is provided with annular recess having diameter of not less than annular bore of retaining ring in free state.

EFFECT: improved hydrodynamic characteristics of drill bit.
