FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for triboelectric treatment of air in diesel engines, engines with injection of light fuel or fuel-air mixtures, in carburetor or gas engines. Proposed device for triboelectric treatment of fuel or fuel-air mixture contains spacer with fitted-in-metal inserts-electrodes arranged parallel to each other and square to axis of pass channels. Said inserts-electrodes are made in form of equal-section screens. Dielectric gaskets are placed between pass channels and inserts-electrodes. Said inserts-electrodes are installed on driven gear connected with driving gear and electric motor coupled by electric circuit with dc supply source and rheostat whose sliding contact is rigidly secured on piston fitted in cylinder communicating with spacer channel. Spring is installed under piston, and dielectric gasket are secured on inner surfaces of spacer and driven gear.

EFFECT: improved starting from cold and hot, increased power and economy under different operating conditions, reduced wear of parts and toxicity of exhaust gases.
